  • "Staying at the Ruby Door Lodge was an absolute delight from start to finish. The place is beautifully updated, super clean, stylish, and cozy. The moment we walked in, we felt welcomed into a calm retreat. The location is easy to find, tucked into a serene neighborhood that felt both peaceful and convenient. We especially loved having access to the private dock for morning kayaking and the fire pit for relaxing in the evenings. Inside, thoughtful touches are everywhere , from a huge collection of books to an electric fireplace, plus all the coffee gear for a perfect morning wind-down. But what really made the stay outstanding was Lynnette and Rex. They are fantastic hosts. Super responsive, warm, and clearly passionate about their property. They provided great local tip, made the check-in seamless, and made us feel like we were at home. Overall, this was one of our BEST Airbnb experiences. I would highly recommend this lodge to anyone! Don't miss this AMAZING getaway!"

  • "This couple and two dogs loved Ruby Door Lodge! Long driveway up a tree-filled lot, providing extra privacy on an already quiet road. Large firepit/picnic area that we look forward to using next time. Convenient entryway with lots of hooks for coats and leashes. Having lights on and music playing upon arrival was a great touch. Decor is a big wow. We were in Central Michigan to visit family, but stepping inside Ruby Door Lodge gave vibes reminiscent of Airbnb and hotel stays in Europe. Impressively thoughtful and tasteful combination of cozy, eclectic and sophisticated. All the amenities we could hope for. Awesome shower more than makes up for a smaller bathroom sink. The queen bed was like sleeping in a cloud, which made us wish we could sleep in longer. Ample floor space in the second bedroom/library worked perfectly for luggage. Huge thanks to Lynette and Rex for creating this charming place. We feel incredibly lucky to have found it--definitely 10/10--and can't wait to come back!"
