  • "My oldest goes to school at CMU and instead of leaving him there alone for Easter we rented this to be able to spend it together. We spent the weekend playing board games and having a fire. It was a perfect spot to enjoy being together. The hosts are amazing! I forgot flour at home so Lynette brought me a couple tbsp. Anytime we had questions Rex answered immediately and brought over whatever it was that was needed- firewood, a lighter. A+ home. Felt comfy and cozy and the record player in the game room made the experience even better. Thank you so much for giving my kids a memorable weekend!"

  • "I just want to say if you’re considering booking at Lynette and Rex’s properties 100% do it. It was so peaceful and relaxing but not too out of the way to the point where you could be bored. The property was gorgeous and was maintained amazingly with everything we needed. Lynette and Rex were some of the kindest people we have ever met and genuinely seemed happy to have us. The lakes are gorgeous and the scenery was great. If you’re from a metro area and looking for a great place to kick back and relax, this is without a doubt the home to do it in.   • "This place was absolutely beautiful. It was actually more peaceful & pretty than the pictures! Very clean. The hosts were incredibly nice, quick to respond, and flexible. I would absolutely love to come back. Everything you could think of was provided. We brought paddle boards and were on the lake (little long lake) the entire time, but they had an extensive amount of kayaks and other things to use as well, enough for a huge group. We also went to Higgins lake a half hour away-one of the clearest cleanest lakes I’ve seen but very populated. Seemed like a party lake but that could be because it’s huge and was close to the 4th of July. I wish we would have had time to play the extensive amount of games provided, but we were on the lakes all day! Thank you for a wonderful time!

We really enjoyed going to the nearby lakes, trying out new board games from the many MANY available, sampling the incredible coffee selections, enjoying the amazing yard with games and grill, and relaxing on the perfect beds and in amazing AC. The board game room had so many options to choose from—we really enjoyed spending time in there, checking out new games and a few staples. We super enjoyed using their awesome red canoe several times, playing darts & corn hole, grilling each night (meats from Steve's as Rex recommended), playing games inside.... and savoring the best coffee in their beautifully decorated Airbnb! The house has it all and the hosts are super, duper friendly! We loved that we could bring our rescue, too. Oh, a fence, like a prior guest said, would be great! We definitely hope to come back."

We had hours of fun in the game room, spent a ton of time on the patio relaxing and grilling and spent some time at the host’s lake front.   • "Beautiful place to unwind and disconnect. Super cozy living room, incredibly well appointed kitchen, but the highlight was the game room! Huge well lit table with dozens and dozens of board/card games, from vintage classics to modern award winning titles. We LITERALLY didn't leave the house for 3 days. A few special "little" touches were amazing, such as toothbrush/toothpaste (which we forgot at home and relieved to see) and other miscellaneous toiletries were available. We also loved how dog friendly it was, with dog bowls and biscuits...and their own guest book!! Also, there was a pretty substantial snow storm come through our last night. Rex was in constant communication with us regarding the plow service clearing out the driveway and another gentleman shoveling our porch and around our car. Overall, hands down one of the best Airbnbs we've ever stayed at! We would give 6 stars, if able, for everything!"

We played outside, had a late-night game time, and enjoyed hot cocoa while watching a movie. We ate at the Thai restaurant per Rex and Lynnette’s recommendation, and sledding, just minutes away.
